Hello ppl, due to much encouragement and psycho-ing, i've decided to start a blog myself! well basically its to tell stories abt the happenings in my life. I know this skin sux, jus make do with it first, i will do a proper personalised blogskin soon... i promise.
Anyway, i will tell u all abt a sickening experience 2 weeks ago, on the 28 of august. the day of the new balance real run. yes its called new balance now, last yr it was still called nike. i think nike now more stingy, so they changed company. last yr nike did things a little untidily. coz after my run, i had to queue to get my goodie bag and to return my race chip, and there is only 1 queue. thanks ah nike, u charge us so expensive for ur products, but ur organisers not much of brains ah. 1 queue for 10,000++ participants, all standing under the hot sun. and worse of all, they prepacked all the goodie bags already, so the free tshirt size is all determined by ur luck. and i got SMALL.. well thx ah, its so tight. so suay. i didnt realise until i was up the bus. too late to change. i wun wana change it anyway, thinking of how long the queue was.
This yr, i told myself i will check and double check again so as to prevent myself frm getting the wrong size, and maybe change it to a size tt fits me. so we went into sentosa tt very morning. the race started, i was running.. (i realised i still can run after i didnt train for so long).. so i ran the usual way... andrew couldnt very much take it. i forgot abt him and i kept running.. and wenjun asked me to wait for him. so i ran back and pei him. and wenjun is a good fren indeed... he asked me to wait for andrew, but after i turned around when i was with andrew, wenjun is nowhere to be seen already. well the run was still quite ok, with stupid ushers trying to motivate us when they themselves look so weak.
anyway after the run, it was goodie-bag-collection-time! this yr its not 1 queue, now got 4 queues! very fast! somemore i finished the race quite early, so no crowd at all. so i eagerly ran to the nearest queue. andrew was very tired, then i heard him saying in a very soft and tired voice: "eh, asshole." then i turned and i looked at him, and i thot he was crazy, for nth call me asshole. but nvm la he dun say i also know im an asshole haha. when i reached the queue, i needed to have my race chip cut frm my shoes. so i saw this girl smiling at me with scissors. i wanted to take the scissors frm her and cut, but when i reached out my hand, she already bent down to cut it for me. then i thot to myself: whoa this girl so sweet. but when she stood up, i look at her face... WHOA! KUA TIO GUI AH! (see ghost ah!). her fren better, the one tt serve andrew. haiz sian. haha but nvm la the most impt thing is the tshirt size, i wun forget tt.
so she passed me a goodie bag. the first thing i did was to check the tshirt size. so i checked the tag of the tshirt.. u know.. the neck tt part, where the brand and size normally is. there wasn't a size. so this yr muz be free size! then i say whoa new balance is really a cleverer company! so i went off to find the ppl who pangseh us during the run. then i look back at the queue for goodie bags, whoa now so many ppl already. super crowded. so heng ah i collected my goodie bag already, need not worry anymore. so when i met my frens, i told them: ' eh now newbalance clever ah, the tshirts all free size, so no need to worry abt getting the wrong size.' then they stared at me like i was god. then andrew told me: ' wat no size, got 4 queues wat. its bcoz got S, M, L and XL.. i thot i told u tt we queued at XL?'
wha lao!! all this while he was telling me tt its XL! and i thot he call me asshole! so i took the tshirt to double check.. no mah i still nv see the size. then i look at the package, on the bottom right hand corner got one small sticker say: XL. wha lao eh! then i told andrew: 'they should have put a sign saying tt its XL wat!' then andrew say they got put. so i went closer to see, they wrote GOODIE BAG REDEMPTION.. then below got the super small words: XL. ARGH!! someore now so many ppl already, so i didnt bother queueing up again. last yr tshirt too small, this yr's tshirt too big! argh!
