hello people! this is it, the entry that you guys r waiting for, the chronicles of my china trip. if u do not already know, i'm back. well the tour on the whole was fun, with a mix of boring historical sightseeing and some very cheap shopping sprees. went to the eastern part of china (hangzhou suzhou wuxi nanjing) and finally to shanghai for 7 whole days. china is a nice country, they have so many good things which singapore doesnt have, but they also have some bad things which singapore also thankfully dun have.

before the tour even started, my flight took off last fri at 0115hrs... so every1 was very very sleepy and most of us slept on the plane. then when i woke up for the meals, i was only half awake. while eating the tasteless american breakfast served on board, i bit my own lips twice at different spots, super super pain. and throughout the next few days, the results are as follow.. godlike ulcers, super pain. now i think when i eat, i'll eat slower than some1 with braces. this pic was taken last nite, so its recent.
note: not for the faint hearted

the first day was quite alright and it got better when the tour guide brought us to watch a china cultural show in hangzhou. those guys are really damn good, they did many stunts, but the main point i wana talk about, is a CLAPPING GADGET. every seat inside is filled with this CLAPPING GADGET. super cute and creative. of coz the audience used it to clap. i reckoned that they recommended this gadget coz no one wans to clap for the performers in the past.

and the side view looks like this, i guess by the pic u can tell how we use it. jus swing it from right to left and vice versa. and yes, since it was so fun to play with, every1 "CLAPPED" for the performers very often

and i found out that china is no diff from singapore, clubbing is not something alien to them. and to all singaporean paikias, pls be thankful for mohammad sultan road, and be extremely thankful for MOS. if u thot the clubs in our country were of low standards... think again.

and i went to wuxi to visit the fliming site of THE THREE KINGDOMS... and i chanced upon an empress, which just so happen to look like my niece. she wasn't acting cute, she was cute. (and yes, she was my niece) we paid SGD $4 for her to be dressed like this for a photoshoot. quite a reasonable price.

and of coz, the city which i wana talk abt the most is shanghai. the most modern city in china. their vcds only cost SGD $2-$4! no more than that! and they r not pirated, they r actually original, only thing they r produced in china. they r exactly the same vcds that u r able to find in TS VIDEO shops in s'pore. so now u know, how much TS VIDEO earns by selling a vcd to u. if i, as a customer, am able to buy a vcd from $2-$4, how much do u think TS VIDEO paid for them? surely it has to be even cheaper. and to all sg pirates... china's original vcds are far cheaper than ur pirated cds... shame shame.

haha but when i went to shanghai's city area, i noticed an interesting movie poster. it was xmen3.. and it was COMING SOON! lol, singapore screened the movie like... 3 months ago? haha... LAG!!

and shanghai's nite view was damn beautiful, so much more beautiful than singapores'. here's a night view of the ORIENTAL PEARL. wat a sight. its said that the china government made it a must for all city buildings to be lighted up by 7pm. how nice. unlike singapore. u look at our city buildings, all u will see r the outline lightings of the suntec city office buildings, so unglam. my dad told me that singapore used to have bright building lightings at nite, but the government disallowed it coz some drivers said that the lightings r a distraction and they end up in accidents. wha lao, so noob. accident is bcoz ur driving lousy, not bcoz of the bright lights. try to find excuse only. act cute!

and this is the top view of shanghai's city at 269 floors high. we took a lift, and i tell u, the lift was extremely fast. we were at the first floor, and after 10secs... we reached the 120th floor, and after another approx 15secs, we reached the 269th floor. and the problem was that we couldn't feel anything at all, we did even feel like we were going up that fast. so most of us got a shock when we reached the 269th floor, and of coz the pressure in our ears was untahanable.

and now for the highlight of the trip.. the TOILETS in shanghai. got tv one! at every urinal somemore! both male and female toilets also got. but i only took a photo of the male toilet's one (duh!). i think its more beneficial for the ladies coz they stay in the toilet longer. i mean come on, a male's average peeing time is only about 10-15secs, y do we need a tv in front of us? i only watched as a plane took off and i was done peeing already. and they dun have it in the male cubicles, but female one have. so when a guy shits, he doesnt get to watch tv, but if he pees in the urinal, he can watch the tv. quite dumb ah, it will be more practical if they had it in the male cubicles. i think they scared that guys who do big business wun wana come out after that. lol but quite style ah.

the following pic was taken from the ENTRANCE OF MY SHANGHAI HOTEL ROOM. take note, its the entrance of my hotel room, NOT the entrance of my hotel toilet. proof: the doorbell on the left.

so act cute! i think this hotel is more suited for couples who wana make love after a bath. the toilet is IN the room itself, and the showers' door is transparent! and its situated in front of the main room door. so imagine if 2 ppl stay in the room, and 1 is bathing. and if some1 knocks on the door and the other person in the room goes to open the door... whoa got free show already. haha my dad and i stay in one room... so i had no choice but to take 2 cloth pegs and clip a towel on the door... so at least there's sth to cover us when we shower.

lol and that marks the end of the trip. will update again soon. so long and good nite.
