Well i'm here to update again. 2nd week of school, really getting to bond with my group (with komala and dinesh inside) and i have to say that they r a great bunch of people. i still have yet to know the rest of my class well apart from the people i already knew like melissa, hamizah, abigail and vivien. but this class is very different from the rest of my other classes i've had during previous sems. this class seems a little dead. and if u know me, im not the dead kind of guy. i like fun and sporty people, but i get a dead feeling every time i see my class. lets hope this is something which can change. haha and my group members discovered something about me. they say when i step into sch the first thing in the morning, my face is fierce and i look like i wana pick a fight. by afternoon i'll start talking alot and by evening i am crazy and hyper. haha interesting isn't it. at first i thot they were crazy enuf to come up with something like that, but when i look back... i really am like that in school haha. so dun get turned off by me in the mornings lol!
and i have to wake dinesh up everyday, haha and its really funi having to wake him up. he needs an average of 11 miss calls everyday just to wake up. he will nv be able to wake up during the first few calls. but today, today was different. just 1 call with 3 rings, he picked up the phone and said: 'HI, OKOK BYE' then he hung up. and i thot wow! thats very rare! in the end... he callled me 1hr later... and guess wat he said? i picked up and he said: 'EH Y U NV WAKE ME UP?' hahaha oh man eventually i found out tt he unconsciously picked up the phone, spoke a few words and hung up. so next time i know, if i nv hit 11 missed calls, i better not take it tt he's awake.
today i was quite pissed in school, and i wasn't the only one. nabyla and aisha from my project group also didn't know how to react and they were also quite pissed. ok the thing is this, for our corporate communication modules, the learning style is PBL. and on the first day of sch, we were given an option to work with PEOPLE'S ASSOCIATION (PA) on a real life project. they told us that if we signed up, its a good opportunity to work on a real life problem and we will do our SIP with people's association. some of us didn't wan to do our SIP with PA coz u know la, its a non-profit organisation and we wun be paid if we do SIP with them. and we also required more information on the project coz we knew nothing at all. the lecturers didn't have any answers to our questions and they advised us to sign up first then go for a briefing which will be conducted by PA, and they also said that if we do project with PA, we dun have to do our PBL problems. so its quite a good deal if u come to think of it.
then today my group and i decided to back out of the project coz everything is so unknown and we rather work with our own PBL problems, which is something we r more familiar with. and we also didn't wana serve SIP with PA, coz if we sign up for this project, we have to commit 1yr to PA and after that serve attachment. BUT BUT BUT we were assured once again by the lecturers that we can opt out after the briefing on friday if we dun wana partake in their project. then this afternoon, during our tutorials, our tutor told us that the PA project is something EXTRA... and that we still have to undergo half of the process of our normal PBL problem. then after sch we have to go down to PA HQ at kallang to work on their project. just then we wanted to back out, but our tutor told us that we cant back out already. tp has already confirmed with PA. we have to go for this project. its like so wtf right. i was seriously pissed. i mean honestly i dun mind undertaking this PA project, but what im pissed about is how i was CHEATED INTO THIS! seriously, this sux! one moment i knew nth abt the project, the next moment i was assured i can back out... and the very next moment im in and i cant back out anymore. farrrrgggged up!
now the only possibility that this project will be cancelled, is that if PA forces us to do SIP with them. coz we told the lecturers how unwilling we r on doing SIP with them. so if they force us to do SIP with them (which is most unlikely), then this project will be terminated. but that will nv happen la... so there is a 99% chance that i must do this project... which means going to PA after sch hours to do their project. farg it. so long and good night.
