whoa the haze is back again. just when it subsided early last week, it came back with some thick smog on saturday. it's always saturday eh. last week the saturday also saw a high reading of 150, just last weekend it hit 120. subsided again until now its only abt 70. my indonesian fren, krishna, told me that the farmers usually burn alot of trees on fridays... and on saturday they will leave the trees there thru the weekends and go dating since they got off days. and i was like WHOA SO IRRESPONSIBLE AH. and he replied: 'actually i duno also, i anyhow say one.' i felt so dumb.
sch's starting next monday. until now, i haven received any news on when the timetable is gona be released. i hope for a slack timetable of coz, but most importantly, i hope to have a good group. good in terms of their contributions, ability to solve problems and of coz to be present for discussions. coz my upcoming class will be my class for 3 sems, and if u wana put it in a scarier way, for the rest of my poly life. a good group will solve all my fricking project problems. but thankfully i have dinesh with me, and he has proven to be a valuable group member. of coz i will stay away from leadership responsibilities this sem. 3sems is enough. being a leader sux, especially when u get lost in the midst of projects.
and if u haven heard about this. Youtube is worth $16BILLION. i duno the currency, but should be USD. crazy right, for a free website to broadcast yourself. MILLIONS of people around the world visit it everyday. its like wtf right. haha and google act cute go buy 1billion worth of youtube shares. google says that it wans to be the biggest video broadcaster in the world. wha lao, pls la.. u r already the biggest search engine, now u wana conquer another sector. can't u just be happy with wat u have? my main concerns are that if google starts to be an idiot and do their LAW BY LAW thing, then many videos in youtube will be taken out. i watch alot of stuff in youtube, from animes like bleach to mtvs and soccer replays. if google decides that animes cant be broadcasted on youtube, then im pwned.
alright, the official release date for DEATH NOTE the movie is tmr. i'm gona catch it on friday. for those of u who know nuts abt that movie, let me tell u a brief story. its adapted based on the best selling comic in japan. ok one day a death god (some1 who brings death -_-") got bored in his world of darkness that he decides to intentionally drop his DEATH NOTE (which is a notebook) onto the human world. the person who picked it up is a sch genius rumoured to be the smartest student in japan... and he is always a straight As student. his name is LIGHT. ok he got the DEATH NOTE, which he read the instructions within. all he has to do is to write a name in the death note. the name that is written in the death note will die. but as he writes the name, he must picture the person's face and write it, or else everyone with that name will die. like for example if he wans me dead, he must think of my face while writing GERALD TAN JUN LONG. if he doesnt, then ALL the GERALD TAN JUN LONGs in the world will die. if he doesnt specify how the person dies, then after 40secs the person will automatically die of a heart attack. if he specifies, then that person will die according to how he wans that person dead. cool yeah.
as a student, he was very concerned as there were many criminals in japan. for a start, he tuned into the news and found out a criminal's name with his face on tv. so he wrote that persons name and thot of his face, and eventually, killed him. he then went on to kill many other major criminals. the police force was shocked that such murders actually take place without a murderer. they summoned a detective, named 'L.' this L guy has helped the police force solve many unsolved mysteries and crimes. L is not his real name, and nobody has seen his face before. everytime he comes on, a letter 'L' will be shown and he will be talking in the background. he wans to track down the mystery killer, but doesnt know who the killer is. he has since narrowed his search and has confirmed that this killer is in japan. LIGHT, on the other hand, knows that L is looking for him. he wans to kill L but he can't coz he doesnt know L's face and in the first place, L isnt the detectives real name. so in short, whoever finds who first will triumph. the question is, how do they find each other and wat happens during the process of finding each other? watch the movie to find out! i can't guarantee that its a good movie, coz tastes differ. and i haven watched it yet. will till fri then i will know.
